Many books and write ups about cosmetic surgery are now taking the issue of depression. Psychologists are now beginning to associate cosmetic surgery with several cases of depression in women.  Women still feel sad even when they have recovered from a cosmetic surgery that had improved their physical appearance and beauty.

In the 1990s, many of the procedures known today were performed less frequently.  Cosmetic surgery is often regarded as an opportunity only for the very wealthy and vain.  Psychologist often found one common finding with these women.  They have chosen to have a cosmetic surgery at the time when major turning points in their lives happen such as when being dumped by their lovers or husbands for younger beautiful and sexy women.  This was considered to be a last minute solution to the problems at hand.  Many women feel that if they will be getting rid of those wrinkles, removing excess fats, enhancing their breasts, and removing unwanted blemishes will make things better and work for them in their favor.  It was proven that these will all help.  These procedures made all their bodies look great but it did not keep their husbands at home with them.  The depression continues and until now has become a cycle of problem.
